April 5th

Date details +

In the Buddhist tradition, the purpose of taking refuge is to awaken from confusion and associate oneself with wakefulness… When we take refuge, we commit ourselves to the Buddhist path.
    —Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

This is an opportunity to reconnect, contemplate, and strengthen our genuine refuge in the three jewels as a group. By doing the practice, we cultivate a dharmic context around our daily lives, which develops true renunciation from samsara.

Prerequisite: This practice session is open to those who have taken their formal Refuge Vows with an authorized Shambhala preceptor and received the practice book: Arousing the Motivation for True Freedom from Samsara: The Practice of Taking Refuge.
