We invite all members and friends of the Burlington Shambhala Centers to join us for one of the most important traditions of Shambhala: our annual New Year’s celebration.  Shambhala Day marks the beginning of the new year—this year, the Year of the Wood Horse.

Around the globe, the Shambhala community gathers to celebrate the richness of our spiritual and cultural heritage through meditation, the Shambhala Day address by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, and feasting.

Join us on Sunday, March 2 for community sitting and the Elixir of Life (9:00 a.m.), the I Ching (10:00 a.m.), remarks from our Director, Richard Does (10:30 a.m.), a sangha conversation on “Joining Heaven and Earth” (11:00 a.m.), lunch (noon), and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche’s address (1:00 p.m.).
