Young Adults Meditation Group

This is a weekly group for young adults who are interested in exploring the practice of meditation and engaging more fully and compassionately in the world. Join us as we practice together, discuss teachings, and support one another in our everyday challenges and aspirations!

Although most participants are in their 20’s and 30’s, older and younger participants are also welcome to be part of the group. If you feel that this group can be of benefit to you, then you are welcome regardless of age! No meditation experience is necessary, and there is no cost for participating!

We meet every Thursday evening, and the following is a typical schedule for our meetings…

7:00 PM   Tea, Snacks & Socializing

7:15 PM   30 Minutes of Sitting (Meditation Instruction available)

You are welcome to arrive anytime between 7PM and 7:45PM, but we encourage all to come for the entire 30 minutes of initial sitting. If you are new to meditation, we offer Meditation Instruction during this period of time.

7:45 PM   Discussion & Activities

We engage in a variety of discussions and activities related to exploring our personal meditation practice and how it relates to our everyday lives. Every week is different, and we often have experienced teachers from the Shambhala Center join us as guest facilitators.

This email will describe what we will be doing in the meeting, and will often include readings, articles, discussion questions and other material for you to ponder in advance of the meeting!
